Flight #2001-4 "Sky-Eye III"

Launch Date:

Signal Report Form

More information to come. This was our second attempt at a "rockoon" mission. We were able to successfully launch the rocket, and had a very nice video of the rocket leaving the "launch pad" thanks to the wide angle rear view mirror and the video camera on board. The GPS did suffer a lockup as soon as the payload left the ground, leaving the tracking team members to track the flight visually. Luckily, it was a cold morning, and the balloon never made it above a few thousand feet, so visual trackign wasn't a problem. The balloon was recovered 30 miles west/northwest of Grand Forks.
